I just got off the phone with a friend and had to share some feelings of confluence and Joy. I had just been trying to decide what to write about when she called – and we quickly began discussing the need for more moments of Joy for 2024.
Now, what we were ACTUALLY discussing was the need for more GLAM – even MORE specifically GLITTER – in our lives. And even though it was specific to getting dressed up and getting our cute butts out the door more often as busy working moms, it was, at its core, the desire to recognize, to act upon, and to more frequently put the work into making happen MORE MOMENTS OF JOY. (Yes, putting in WORK – not all Joy has to be purely spontaneous, y’all). And having those moments of joy also be IN COMMUNITY with others who make us laugh and lift us up.
